I am six months pregnant and my boobs just started leaking. And now today I noticed there are little red bumps on my areolas, has anyone ever seen anything like this? I don't remember experiencing it in my last pregnancy but I can't imagine what else would cause this. Any ideas?

sometimes the bumps are just from your breast and bra being wet. I found the best way to keep yourself dry and to help stop the bumps is taking a maxi pad cutting it in half and sticking each half into your bra. This works great for after you have the baby and you have the horrible leakage. Just remember to change the pad atleast every 2 to 3 hours because it will get wet and cause irratation on your breast. Hope that helped you.

It will happen. Try keeping your breasts as dry as possible. Put some type of padding in your bra to soak up any leakage. Any are of the skin that stays damp will start to have a negative affect. It's nothing to worry about but if it continues you should get it checked especially if you plan on breast feeding.

Totally normal, don't worry. It's just the milk getting ready for your new one. You'll want to keep them dry and clean to keep from getting infected, or worse, getting a yeast infection. Nursing pads work great, but they can be seen through your bra sometimes. Baby powder helps sometimes...

Isn't it funny how every pregnancy is different??

It is perfectly natural... just remember, with the little bumps, you may have to once again remind your husband that they are NOT footballs. LOL
