I can't emphasize enough...GO...GO...GO! It can get to the point where you feel you have to urinate even when you don't. And the burning is unbelievable...it feels like you're trying to pee out your bladder. The only way to get rid of it at that point is definately going to the doc. They will prescribe a pill that will taken away the urgency to urinate & pain and another that will clear up the infection. Drink as much water as you possibly can and then some. If you have sexual intercourse...before falling asleep or letting hrs. go by...go and pee. This will prevent UTI's from occuring.

Are you sure you have a UTI. Does your urine smell foul, and look cloudy. Are you having burning when you urinate. If you do try drinkking cranberry juice and lots of water. It will help flush out your body. If your symptoms don't improve see a doctor you need antibiotics. You can become septic if it is untreated and land yourself in an intensive care unit. If you are having a discharge with it see a doc it may be an std and that you can't fix on your own.

Cranberry juice is good for urinary track infection, and I have heard that alkaseltzer works well. It seems like once a person has had urinary track infection, it often comes back even after taking antibiotics. I definitely recommend that you go to a doctor.

hey there, its bad to not seeing a doctor because UTI infection can get very serious where it can infect ur bladder, then travel along until your kidney which later on cause pyelonephritis aand even worse u need to go surgery to remove your kidney!!!if it reaches your blood stream then it can multiply in a very big amount and cause damage to other organs...
U need to see doctor to get antibiotics and as well go and get your self CRANBERRY JUICE..commonly can get from any pharmacy or supermarket(but pharmacy has the right choice)...it has natural anti bacteria for UTI .It can cure yuor infection.Do not have sex until your are okay because female sometimes has dormant bacteria living at their private part,so since you have UTI...u put yourself vunerable for further serious infection.take care!!

It should go away within a few days, however you run the risk that it won't and will spread through your body. I would go to the doctor and take a few day course of antibiotics if I were you.

Yes, they do go away--BUT it will come back! and you should go to the doctor! if you can't afford it, go to the emergency room. They have payment plans or medicaid counselors.
