I am my own boss and my business is successful. But you are right, most don't want to do what it takes to be successful, or they are involved in a business they know very little about. It takes a great deal of dedication and you need to treat your small business as though it were a million dollar business and put the time and effort into it that most people only dedicate to their boss. Anyone with drive and determination will indeed make it and find true success.

i think u can. if u have the will, passion, and the help of friends of family, too. u need to have goals. u cant do it just on will power itself. ur willpower will begin to fizz out, and u need a plan and a program so u will not fail. (ok i confess, i got some of this stuff from dr. phil... but it does work!)
