what family do panda bears belong to? i always thought it was the bear family but my brother just told me its the rodent family, is he right or am i or is it neither. please dont guess and i will choose a best answer, and no links please i have to be quick.

Giant Panda, - they belong to the bear family
Qinling Panda - sub species of the giant panda
The Red Panda- belongs to the racoon family
