Someone asked what animal she should get next she had like 4 cats and a dog and a hamster. I wrote maybe you should get a man. Is this fair? I think not.

It's a good answer, but you are assuming too much. You are assuming 1) she is heterosexual, 2) she wants a man, 3) she needs a man, and 4) she is not a man. Your implication that she is desperate, hard-up, or a woman (if that happens to not be the case) can be hurtful and even mean.
But, it was still a funny answer.

Good answer but some people get offended easily. I got a reprimand I didn't agree with once too. Comes with the territory, I guess.
I read the rules after that (didn't at first) & haven't had a problem since. Knock on wood.

a man is not the kind of pet animal she was looking for.
Of course maybe she needs to check with the law as in some communities you can only have 3 or 4 animals per household.

I got an abuse warning from someone who kept telling different stories for their questions and totally outrageous.
People were getting genuinely upset over their questions, I pointed out the lies and inconsistencies then I got the abuse violation for not a question or answer.
I dislike when people make up lies and other people get upset. I call them on it. Hard to believe that Yahoo would agree with them.

I went back and read the question you are referring to and read the other answers. I see nothing wrong with your answer. Someone else even suggest "maybe you should get a boyfriend they make good pest...oh..I mean pets"
NO ONE knew until after she chose her best answer that she was only 12 yrs old. she posted that in her comments.
Anyway.........don't sweat it.........
