Try the Art Student's League - there are a lot of good artists that study there, but I *think* anyone can just pay to take a class. Also, schools like SVA (School of Visual Arts) have a very extensive continuing education program where you could take night classes. In NYC, I'm sure there are a million other opportunities to take classes as well...sorry I don't know them all, but this is a place to start!
