We have been TTC and when he "does his deed" it is a low amount, and not alot there. Im not sure if he has a high sperm count, but we will test soon if we can't conceive. I was wondering if anyone had taken any of the meds advertised that increases man's sperm, and amount? If so what works the best, and any suggestions? Thank you!

I'm in the same darn boat. We've actually done two tests on my husband. The first was about 6 yrs ago when we were trying to get pregnant with our daughter. He was very low, had decreases motility & of the mobile, half were 'retarded' or double headed. The doctor's told us we had no chance of getting pregnant on our own. Two years later, when I couldn't figure out why the heck I was so darn sick, I ended up being pregnant.
Now we have been trying again, we decided to do another count. His amount is up by 2 million, but still below the low level (low is 20 miliion or less per ml). His motility is better now to.
Basically, their sperm counts can change. He may only have a small amount that comes out, but that's just seminal fluid. The sperm that come out may be 100 million in just that small amount of fluid. I would talk to the doctor about having a quick test done. They're easy. In fact, I joined my husband so he didn't feel so akward about the whole testing process. Took his mind off of the whole situation.
Good luck, and remember, even if it is low, you can STILL get pregnant !!!!!!!
ps. Don't use the gimmicky men's fertitlity stuff. Can actually have adverse effects. Try zinc & folic acid. There have been studies done in Europe & the US that have incresed mens fertility by 70% using these two supplements.

Hi there,

I've been right where you are.......please try not to be too upset (I'm 16 weeks pregnant right now with no medical intervention)

My husband first test was low quality, borderline low motility (speed), and low concentration on his first test.

His second test (3 months later) was normal.

Additionally, they take tests from inside you (post coital....you have to do it and 12 hours later they see how much is still living in you and how much of it is quality) those tests were all fine for us.

One test doesn't mean a problem........
