wow if only someone would make a movie about that...oh wait, they did...I would pay off and advance pay tuition for a couple college kids I know, pay the tuition of all students in a certain private school, pay off any debt my Church has, contrubute to scholarfunds, pay off all debts by my sisters and buy my brother a classic Chevelle SS, purchase other vehicles for various family and friends, give money to a high school swing choir group sop they can go to Italy, give to Hospice, The Kidney Foundation, Variety Club, The Bison Fund, Heart Association, and whatever is left over I would give to a soup kitchen I know of...I would be easy, it would take about four days, and hopefully make a difference in the lives of people.

I would pay all my bills, buy a house, car, clothes and other material crap. Then I'd use some of it to build a residential facility for homeless youth. I would give some to my parents. Of what's left, some of it would go into a mutual fund, some would be invested, and the rest I would use to live off of. I'd probably not work a nine to five job, but pursue a career in writing or music. And I would probably pursue a PhD and travel a lot. And adoption. I would adopt a few kids.

something worthwhile to me but not for me? I'd spend it on repairing and replacing many of the old school buses in my area. maybe put air conditioned bus travel as a priority in my community. My county approved almost 26 million for new football stadiums last year that went over budget, so this year they cut the book funding to make up the loss. I'd give up the large sum of money if I could just get our school system back on track and boot all the politics. I know the county makes money off the games and use of their stadiums, but why send my kid to school where they come second to political gains and profit margins?

Honestly, the first thing I would do is buy my mom a really nice house near her family & prepay hired help to keep her home the way she likes it & cant do anymore. Then I would go to the schools in my city & buy all the school supplies they will need for the year. Kids really need proper supplies to learn. Then I would buy gift cards for 3 sets of clothes for each student. Then I go to the animal shelters & purchase vet & grooming services for all the animals being sheltered. Purchase food, blankets & animal toys for their care until they were adopted instead of euthinized. Thats how I would spend the 10million.

First I would contact the IRS to find out how much of the $10 million I have to give them in taxes. After paying them off, I would contact my state to find out how much I have to give to them in taxes. Then, I would contact my town government to find out how much I have to give them in taxes. I would then make an anonymous donation of the remainder to a stem cell research foundation - probably to an overseas research clinic since our state religion has declared that stem cell research is immoral. The donation would have to be anonymous because:

1. If the local enforcers of the state religion (conservative Christians) found out who I was, they would seek to punish me by whatever means they could.

2. If the IRS knew who I was, I'd have to take a deduction on my taxes the following year. That would mean that I would get money back, thus breaking your arbitrary rule about :buying nothing for myself.

All of these contrived rules and restrictions make it sound as though you've been reading about Aladdin and his lamp.

BTW, upon receiving the unknown reward that you mention, I would repeat the process of paying off the big-government conservative tax mongers as described above, before actually doing anything with the remainder of the reward for myself.
