what do you all think about our wonderful state of maine????????????? i've been all over the world maine in my opinion is great!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not live anyplace else. 4 seasons. ocean, mountains, life in the slow lane. Nice people for the most part. Still unspoiled and a lovely place to live and raise a family. Low crime good schools what more could you ask for.You can leave your doors unlocked and not worry. Kids can play in there area with no worries.

I love visiting Maine and we spend time there every summer. The seafood is wonderful. The scenery in Southern Maine is always a treat. Every road is scenic with stone walls, forests, big rock outcroppings, and the villages are filled with historic homes. The seacoast is quite scenic too.
There are great festivals and agricultural fairs, plus small craft fairs and music events to attend. It's a wonderful place in the summer. I don't think I could take living there in the cold, snowy winter though.

Why do few people chose to live there? The population is just 1,275,000 even though Maine was part of the original United States.

I have nothing good to say about the economic climate there.I was born and raised there and left what i now call the peoples socialist republic of maine for a place with much nicer weather and a better economy. as for natural bueaty, Its an amazing place. second to none if you like 4 season living..5 if you count mud season.

I know you produce potatoes almost as good as my Idaho, but I recall Maine more for seafood. Would live to see your state in the fall sometime.

i love Maine. I did Knife Edge once in 50 feet of visibility, i knew that there was a lot of big space out there but I just couldn't see it.
