What's the best way to give in to an argument even though you still disagree with your friend?

There are victories of the spirit and mind. Sometimes you lose, you actually wins. Case in point - 2 great friends went separate ways after an argument. Both refused to admit defeat and apologise to one another. They drifted further and further away. One of them realised that their friendship is more important than anything else and 'stepped down', apologised. The loser? No, the winner - the friendship was rekindled, they became great friends again.

We all can be looking at the same thing but have different opinions. In life, sometimes there's no right or wrong. It's a matter of seeing from one another's point of view and understanding that the other party might be right afterall!

My advice - step down, be the first to give in, see from the other's point of view (maybe you were wrong!) and when appropriate, let the other party sees from your point.

Well you can say something like, "I see your point of view and I hope that you see mine so we can move past this. I respect your position and I hope that you respect mine." If that doesn't work take a baseball bat and ...... no j/k. If your friend sees that you are trying to make an effort they will probably try back. Unless they are extremely immature and want to win all the time. Good luck.

you can agree to disagree, you both do not have to see eye to eye on everything, you are two individuals
