This is my first hearing. I was going 65 in a 45.I was following my cousin .We both got the same ticket,form the same cop.

You didn't say what state, but in Mississippi, one cop can only pull over one car. If it was two of you, he could only pull over one of you and another cop would have to pull over the other one. Even if one cop pulled you over and another cop pulled the other person over, they could not write you both the same speeding ticket, saying you both were going the same speed, if one of you was behind the other.

You did not specify what type of hearing this is. Here in California, your first appearance is just to plead guilty, not guilty or request traffic school. Is this a trial or just your first hearing?
