It wouldn't matter what my natural child or step-children did. I love them all without boundaries. I may not like or approve of things they do, but that does not change my love for them. If either one of them became a sex-offender, I would of course be devastated and angry, etc, but still love them. A person can love whole heartily and dislike someones behavior. For me, and I am sure many mothers out there, a mothers love is a strong emotion.

I don't have any children, but I think that I would. I think that everyone makes mistakes, some harder to forgive than others. I think if you really care about your child you would try to help him or her w/ counseling and support. I just got a notice in the mail about a sex offender and was shocked when I recognized the guy as someone I went to school w/. If I saw him on the street or in the supermarket I would probally ask him how he was doing and wish him well, so yeah I would have to say that I would still love my child.

I have lived with sex offenders for years. Some parents still do and some, usually step parents, do not. I have seen marriages end over offenses of one child against another.
Most offenses occur inside family and those that are outside family are committed by people known to victim.
Offenses are way under reported.

Yes, I would still love the child but hate the crime and make that known. You can never stop loving your child but you can be ashamed of their behavior and support the consequences of their choices.

Of course, I would still love them. I wouldn't support them, lie for them, or condone their actions. And I would insist they take the punishment they deserved for whatever crime they committed. whether that be psychological counseling, incarceration or the death penalty. I would grieve for them, and for their actions. But, I'm a mom and I'd always love my child.

"YES" of course I would still love them: they are my Child!!

A parent’s love should be 'UNCONDITIONAL': not based on what they do, or do not do!!!!

I would hate what they had done: & totally not condone it: but would still love & support them as my child!!
