Certainly they go hand in hand. For why would one need hope if there was no fear. Fear with a warrior is so strong that it gives him the very mean of which to fight and the fact that he may win is the hope behind the fear.
Fear of the child being hit by a car is the reason for instruction of the parent to the child on how to cross the street in hope that he will not be hit.
Hope that one will manage the 45 minute interview is needled with fear, which sharpens his awareness of the details he needs to pass the interview.
Hope of a life long love, is filled with fear as the vows are said at the alter.
Fear that the boy will kiss you for the first time, is actually the hope that he will and adds to the thrill of it all.
You know the saying...hope springs eternal. Yes it does, for fear is a driving force which edges us all on through our life with hope for all to be as we want, dream, wish, desire.

Hope motivates us but thats true as well with fear. Fear of being left behind can motivate one to work harder to get ahead . Fear is
a negative while hope is a positive. Hope is not greater but i think its better than fear. Fear can also hold you back, but hope always looks ahead to the better side, Fear is powerful no doubt
But Hope is greater at least it gives one something better to
be motivated with , Fear can too but its not a good feeling Hope is
by far greater than fear all the way around thats the way i think of it anyhow

I would say hope is greater. Hope is what keeps people going even when afraid. Hope for the future, hope for their kids. You can't fear everything. People mostly fear only a few things. Losing their job. Losing their spouse. Getting sick. Things like that. Hope is always there. It doesn't matter if things are good or bad, people always hope it will be better.
Without hope, there is no reason to continue. Fear can only go so far. If you lose hope, you also lose fear for without hope there is nothing to be afraid of.

Hope is greater. It's more motivating and it's a positive feeling. To have hope is to have a brighter outlook on life and look forward to tomorrow. It takes away that abject feelings of unhappiness, disbelief, desperation and surrender. Fear on the other hand is a negative feeling. It can be paralyzing. And fear is contagious. And it bears other negative feelings of hopelessness, inertia, distrust, sadness, loneliness, ,and total confusion. Fear can never be positive. To use fear as a leverage doesn't elicit true loyalty, unbridled cooperation, and dedication.

Hope can conquer fear. Dictators rule by fear, they become ruthless to crush any hopes the people might have, because with a tiny bit of hope the people almost always win. If you ever meet a guy that is to shy to talk to you, to scared, he is afraid. Give him a wink and a smile and see what happens.

Fear is a basic instinct that is given to all upon birth. It can motivate anyone.
You can be afraid to die, and hope that you will live, but the fear of death will keep you alive longer than the hope that you will live.
Once you start "hoping" to live, you have already given into the idea that you are "going" to die. Where as being afraid to die is admitting that you are not going to allow yourself to die without a fight.

Hope motivates for gives us a reason to go on, to look forward to a better tomorrow, to plan, to dream-to celebrate life while fear can immobilize, can hinder us and make us afraid to act. Fear can also prevent us from taking chances on a new job and fear can have us bypass opportunities-it has us limiting ourselves While hope motivates, strives us to do better, never to give up for hope gives us energy, strength, determination and to face and welcome challenges.

Hope is greater. Hope only motivates. Fear only retards. Hence fear can neither be greater nor a motivator.
