Im curious if they make more than nfl players....like an nfl player can make maybe 1 to 10 million a year depending on his position and his skill level

The NFL can afford to pay its players this amount of money, even if the player comes on just a few times in a season, like a punter.

The highest paid rugby union player is Matt Giteau, and depending on where you read, some people have no idea how much he is paid per year, and others say 1.45 million [1], 1.45 million with close to 1 million in third party payments [2], and 1.5 million a year and 700,000 to 750,000 in third party payments [3].

It was reported on Australian TV that Matt is the 6 million dollar man.

From their unions they get contract money and per game money. If they make adds where there Provincial colours or national colours are involve they must share that money to their so called owners but if its private adds thay keep it all .Now it depends in which country they play or for what club they play for. In south africa the contract money can go over a million for certain players and match fees can go up to 60000 rand. There are allso other things to take into account like sponsered cars and gear. To conclued the money they earn differ from player to player but Matt Gito from Austalia are the highest paid player in the world and will play for the Western Force Super 14 outfit from the start of the 2007 season. how much ?? its a secret
