If you have to ask that question on this board, you definitely should not work in a doctor's office.

Keeping patient information private (such as if the doctor has your aunt as a patient, don't say to her - "how's that irritable bowel, Aunt Camille?" if she's never mentioned it to you!). Also, not stealing office supplies or medications. Any time you are dealing with ethics, think of this question - "If I do this, how would I feel if it ended up on the front page of the newspaper?" That's the core of acting ethically.

If you need to ask, I hope you do not work in one. It means to protect a patients' privacy inside the office and out--no talking to others about other patients. It also means not giving out information to others outside of other doctors, pharmacies, or insurance companies.
