The patch is a great form of birth control and yes you can release sperm without worry. BUT the patch does not protect you against STDs so it is best to use condoms as well unless you are married.

During sex, the patch works really well and I can keep myself from smoking. But its after sex that the patch fails me and I need a cigarette.
