Use WD-40. Spray it real good and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then just wash it like you would normally. It will come off. I read this in a Maxim magazine. It also removes ink stains, blood stains, grass stains, oil stains...... I've tried it in some of this cases and it works!!! You can use it on most fabrics. I've tried the ice thing on gum and it takes a while and you have to be scrubbing it. Don't waste your time with it.

turn the pocket inside out [if you can] place your capris in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer until the gum is frozen THEN scrape it off the inside of the pocket. washing them in extreme hot water will only cause the gum to spread all over the pants. scraping it while the gum is still soft could damage the pocket. try the freezer first.

Using an ice cube to freeze the gum would help. Then you can chip it off. I saw an answer for the freezer to. That would work, but I would put the pants in a plastic bag of some kind. Freezing the gum works almost all the time.

You could try getting it cold enough to harden well with an ice-cube but i find that just melts and you end up with a soggy patch around the gum!

As was said above, best thing is to put the trousers in the freezer until the gum freezes hard enough to shatter and peel off :-)

I washed my clothes with gum once.
I'm completely unsure, so don't blame me for this, but I would wash the capri's with the pocket out, and then when it's wet try to pick it off. Or soak them in water and then try.

I'm really sorry if I told you the wrong thing... :S

Chewing Gum - Rub area with ice, then scrape off with dull blade. Sponge with dry cleaning solvent; allow to air dry. Wash in detergent and hottest water safe for fabric.
Try egg white that's said to remove chewing gum from anything. Rub the egg white on the gum and it will remove it from cloth, hair or hands without leaving a spot.
Chewing gum may be removed from different materials by soaking them in turpentine.

There are cleaners you can get for this. One is called Goo Gone available in most hardware stores. Or you can use paint thinner. Or you can try freezing the gum with an ice cube and then scraping it off (but this is messy and time consuming).

1. Cut the area with the gum
2. Buy a small piece of a cloth
3. Get a needle and a thread stitch the cloth on the hole(
the area you just cut!)
4. Now your pants is Fixed
5. They won't even notice the new patched cloth

Freeze it an then it'll easily come off-guess you can stick pants pochet inside out into the freezer or apply icepack to pocket turned inside out-whichever method is easiest but the ice will work.

for one ice will help it breaks enough to pick off but you will find there is still a stick to it, you can try a few different ways to do it, the ice and then even found a piece of gum pickin up after can help , to freeze then after gettin almost all off then heat to melt whats left and try to scrape off whats left and shouldnt be much will get almost all off, a iron and wax paper is also a good easy way to get off,
