I think it comes with the territory or maybe it is a criteria. In order to be a rock star you have to be a strung out womanizing druggy... maybe thats your initiation to the "club."

The judges are Tommy Lee and Dave Nevaro, they're all tattooed and wearing black, I guess the contestant think thats what they are looking for, so they conform.
