The reason foriegners do so well here is because WE are spoiled.I mean $5.50 an hour is so little you can't possibly live on it right? Try telling that to the guy or gal that just arrived that was making $5.50 a day at 12 hours per day,he grew up with 1 toy,doesn't know what tv looks like, and has never had more than 2 meals in a day during his life.The new guy gets promoted super fast because he is willing to do the jobs nobody else will do, and work any hours he is given,never complains, and looks at his check like he just hit the Lotto.He saves his money because all he ever dreamed of he now has in the US,enough to eat ,and a warm place to sleep.He saves every dime and invests.Not to mention people are lined up to throw an education at him for just a few years of hard work. It all depends on how you look at it all. Most of the people here just don't know what poor is. Try the world almanac,I think it has tons of info on other countries.To most of the worlds people ,moving to the US,Japan,Britain,France, or several other countries is like moving into a penthouse luxury apartment.
