... self-tanning. it won't damage your skin like the sun, but there are certain chemicals in it that will stain fabrics, like most acne products. it's like putting sunblock on... only it wont block out uv rays. like the earlier posts, just apply a small amount all over your body and wait til u notice a change. then repeat this until u r satisfied. if u r to go out in the sun, put sunblock OVER the tanning lotion. plus, if u don't want to stain fabric and u want a healthier tan, use a natural self-tanning lotion

No! The don't damage the skin! The whole point of them them is to get a tanned look without lying in the sun AT ALL!

They usually take a few hours to develop depending on the type. Start subtle, you can always add another layer if you want it darker.

You generally need to expoliate and moisturise all over before applying for best effects and, unless you are a contortionist, you may need a friend to help apply to your back and hard-to-reach-areas :-)

It won't protect your skin from sunburn or any other sun damage. The sun is very harmful, short term and long term. Get your tan out of a bottle and stay in the shade.

You don't need to go in the sun for self tanning lotion to work. That is why it is so much better for your skin!

of course they damage your skin. if they have anything that you can't pronounce, it's probably a chemical which is toxic.
