So I thought about going downtown and passing out brochures, flyers, and business cards; kinda like a street team. I am having a difficult time coming up with the right ad campaign. I want to stand out since there is so much competition. Any advice or ideas?

Ok, let me be honest with you. There is an un written rule out there in the advertising market that says that ad agencies do not advertise their business. Ironic? true, at least for the ad agencies that want to make it big and are competing on the quality not price.

Ok, so how do you go around promoting your agency without degrading its image? Use PR

1- Put your logo on the stuff you design for clients
2- Try and create crazy concepts that generate word of mouth
3- Web site with reference to previous work etc

Remember, if you are in the market based on price, you lose at the end of the day because there are thousands of competitors out there willing to do stuff for free. Advertising is not considered an appropriate way of promoting B2B in general so becareful you don't want to start on the wrong foot.
