Both of my children delivered early thanks to sex!
It's a combination of several factors: manipulating the cervix, contractions of orgasm, and prostaglandins in the semen (I've heard that swallowing the semen will get the prostaglandins into the body just as well, if sex is too uncomfortable...) Prostaglandins are the chemicals that make menstrual cramps hurt so much. Nipple stimulation releases oxytocin, another chemical important in uterine contractions.
Your husband will likely go for the sex thing, too, especially since you won't be allowed to have sex for at least 6 weeks post-partum!

I read in a book when I was pregnant that manipulating your nipples could bring on labor/contractions. It cautioned you that doing so could bring on very strong contractions and didn't recommend it. I did, and the next day I was in labor, but still have no way of knowing if that was it. Mind you I saw the doctor two days before and there was nothing happening at all. But really, who knows. Best to let nature take its course (I know, I know). Although I hear the sex thing works too, and that kind of factors in the nipple-work too!

Having sex. Also drinking Castor oil is supposed to work and I have been told that it does, but I would never want to do that. Good luck and congratulations!

Orgasms! Whether they be by your man, or by your hand, or by machine, having an actual, real orgasm can help move things along. And it's a fun way to pass the time while you wait... =)
