You need to start and finish the legal process in getting a divorce. In most states, property that is accumulated during the marriage is split 50/50. If you don't want the property, then the other spouse has to pay you out the equivalent of what it is worth.

You need to get on this right away. The longer you allow this to sit the stronger his argument that you abandoned everything.

Keep calling until they talk to you. If you can, get someone to drive you over to them, and while you are at it, social services. They can help you with job placement, an apartment, and a car in some cases.
If you can, talk to attorneys in your area and ask if they are willing to do contingency work. Many of them are. Contingency work is where they take nothing if you loose, but a percentage if you win. This can be 20-40%, but you won't need to pay them up front. Many of them will also ask for legal fees in the settlement, and your ex would have to pay them, not you.
Good Luck!

why not contact a legal office and see if their is a attorney who is on a internship that needs experience and is willing to do the job for cheep explain your situation and remember if you are still married you still owe 50% of everything he has cause what's mine is your and what is ours is ours also you may want to call him on the phone instead of emailing him but be sure to record your phone conversations with him so you have proof that you where civil when you talked to him good luck and Keep on trying

Keep trying at legal aid. If you know where your car is go get it. Or if it's in both of your names call the police and report it missing. How did he get your washer/dryer?? If you haven't changed the locks on the door, change them. Do you enjoy being a door mat???

Maybe you can find an attorney to sue for some money also, and take a cut from the winnings.
