Talk about your day, ask him about the weather, talk about tv shows or movies you like, music, your friends, there is a whole lot to talk about.

When my boyfriend lived in Chicago and I was in Dallas, we talked non stop all day long. His phone bill was over 1000.00 and I was in shock, so I said "you need to update your long distance phone service" and "we need to have a date to find out if we really are compatible before you spend any more money" so he hopped a plane and we had a real date. (We had met before and got to know each other on the phone). Well, it was as if I had found the other half of myself and we have never stopped talking since. That was 6 years ago.
If you have run out of things to say already, then perhaps this isn't the right man for you.. you will have to soul search and figure that one out for yourself. It's ok for that to happen you know. Lots of relationships don't make it. But, if he is the one and you guys are better off in person than on the phone, then maybe one of you needs to consider moving.

I uh used to call him at night and do phone sex when I had a long distance relationship. I'd tell him little things about stuff that went on in my life. If you ever run out of stuff to talk about that's when you know the relationship should end. Hope my advice helps~

just tell him about what is going on in your life, ask what is going on in his life, find out what he did that day, or week, or something like that... the same that you would do if he was here and you were talking to him,. why should it be any different

ask him wots he doing..
tell him abt the movie u watched or the book that u read.
ask him to tell u wots going on outside his house, who he met and how they looked..
talk to him abt mutaul friends that u meant..
rely the gossipe that u heard abt someone..
talk abot ur future...
