I am very mad at my best friend. She really isn't that great of a friend, but she is still my friend. I will always talk to her and she never seems to remember what I say. She never seems to have anything to say to me ever. I am always the one talking to her she just answers. It is the same way with e-mail. We are in a big fight right now. She doesn't know why I am mad at her. I think this argument might ruin our friendship. Should I tell her why I am mad at her? Can someone please help me out? Oh yea, I'm a boy, but I don't think that really matters.

Ok, I'm 12 years old, and I already talked to her about how she is always like not talking to me. She never changed, but she said she would.

I think u should def try discussing this w/ her, respectfully, of course. Ask her why she doesn't really communicate w/ u that much and if there's something bothering her? If she's not that great of a friend, as u say, then is she really ur friend @ all? A friendship is based on communication and respect, and if ur doing all of the talking and she's not saying anything, then what kind of friendship is that? Maybe u should let it taper off if it's not working. But I think there's something deeper than that. Maybe she's not talking because of a reason- so try seeing what that reason might be. Good blessings!

You didnt say how old you are and that would have helped out alot. Yes you should tell her why you are mad at her. On the other hand, friends dont have to explain their actions all the time. Friends do have secrets from one another. Friends also have different people in their lives that the other friend may not know about. Just because the two of you are friends dont be acting childishly and dont push too hard or you will lose her friendship.

You asked if you should tell her why you are mad... Well, if you want to save this friendship, definitly. But before you say, I'm mad at you because... , why not say, I was just wondering if you think there's a problem between us? Or something like, Sometimes I feel like.... , or ask her if something is wrong or bothering her. Maybe she's dealing w/ stuff you don't know about. Maybe she just has a hard time talking. Believe it or not, I was so quiet when I was growing up that I would actually get grounded for not talking! Ridiculous huh? But my family felt left out and it wasnt that I didnt want to talk to them or didn't care about them, I just didnt have anything to say. Sometimes it's easier to say to someone, "You've made me mad", than it is to say, "Hey, you're hurting my feelings". and maybe I'm wrong, but I think that may be the case here. You're feeling unimportant, for lack of a better word, and it's hurting you. Try one more time to just "talk" before you start arguing. And if it is hard for her, try to make it easier. Maybe suggest playing a game, like word association. You say to her, I'm going to say "Quiet" and you say the 1st thing that pops in your head. Sometimes it's easier to write things down than it is to say them outloud. Make a "no talking" rule. Writing only! Sit back to back and pass a notebook between each other. This is something my husband and I do to keep from raising our voices and alarming our children. It really helps. It makes it easier to get things out because you know no one is going to start yelling if you say something they dont like. I hope I've helped you at least a little and I hope you and friend can work this out. Good luck and remember, no matter how long you've been friends and no matter how well you think you know each other, everybody still has secrets and maybe hers are hurting her, as well as you. The key to being a good friend is being the friend you want to have. :)

Dude, your "friend" doesn't sound like such a great person in my opinion. It sounds like to me that this is a one way relationship and you are doing all of the work! You should tell her why you are mad at her. When I'm "mad" at a guy friend and I ignore him, that means I don't want to talk to you and/or I don't want to be friends with you any more. It sounds brutal, but it's the truth. Just to let you know, girls have their own language, and guys have yet to decode it. I hope that everything works out okay.

It seems like she doesn't value your friendship very much by not putting in much effort in talking to you. But it seems like she's concerned about why you're mad at her, so tell her why you're upset. She might not be able to see the way she's acting and can change and be a better friend if you point out what she's doing that upsets you. =]

Communicate. Tell her how you feel and why. Just don't be accusive. Tell her that you would like her to be more open with you, since you 2 are friends. Also, try figuring out what she likes, what makes her talk, and try talking to her about that. I'm thinking that that'll get you both into conversations, getting you both to know each other better, getting you both in your way to a better relationship.

Well I'm 13 and I think that you should talk to her about it she may like you if she only answers cuz she might be afraid that if she says anything it will accidentally slip that she likes you cuz i had a friend like that and he accidently told me that he liked me and I told him I liked him too but not that way and right we are currently good friends. All because I aked him why he wouldn't talk to me.
