You may have it set on "prompt for password" every 15 minutes if you go to ( i know its long): http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?.intl=us&.partner=&.last=&.src=&pkg=&stepid=&.done=http%3a//edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_profile%3f%26.done=https%253a%252f%252fmy.secure.yahoo.com%252findex.html%26.redir_from=MY%26.scrumb=0

log in and click edit next to member information at the bottom under general preferences change the password prompt to a longer time see if that helps

It could be because you are closing some of the windows or signing out of another service, which will also sign you out of this.

THANK YOU! For me it's either "You're session has expired" or "You don't appear to be the owner of this account". It's very annoying!

inactivity, maybe just reading or typing and not browsing can cause the yahoo server to reset your cookies..
