Pointed toe shoes continue the line of the leg, and therefore, makes a woman's legs look longer. And who doesn't love that?
Though, yes: Some pairs that are excessively long and/or pointy look a little weird or.... "witchy."

Honey, seriously it's been in fashion since like 2 or 3 years ago. It's not gaining popularity, it's just popular.

I'ts not gaining popularity. People have worn them for years, it's a personal preference. Personally, they're not my favourite. I prefer a certain type of round-toe (preferrably a kitten heel).
It's all a matter of if you like it or not.

Don't worry, they are heading out. The new ones for fall are rounded and adorable. No more making our feet look like they are 4" longer than they really are.

although, your ex could have come to me first! i do no longer care in the event that they are "in" or "out" i admire shoes with pointed feet. no longer lethally pointed shoes that squash the feet, yet they look plenty greater clever than sq.-toed shoes and actually look greater clever than those hideous gladiator sandal issues.

I don't know, and I can't wait for them to be out of style, so I can find sensible shoes more easily...
