im a female and about to get my nose pierced.. was just wondering if it mattered at all?

Doesn't matter! Pick which side you would like the jewelry to be on. One thing to consider is in the off chance u have scar tissue on one side, pick the one that doesnt, easier to pierce and doesnt hurt as bad, although event hat doesnt make that much difference. Or, like me, i've had my nose broken, and if you really look one nostril is more open inside than the other. Im my situation i chose the more open side so the inside of the jewelry would irritate my nose less.
Have fun! And please go to someone professional, have it done by someone certified in a shop who uses sterile piercing needles, not a piercing gun.

Back in the day ... If you were a gay female you had your left nostril pierced and a straight woman had the right nostril pierced ... But these days I don't think it matters anymore .. Hope this helps !

whichever looks better to you.
the reason left is more popular is because in india, it is believed that the left side promotes fertility and an easier labor. so in the 60's when people started going out there, they brought the trend back.
i have my right side cause i like how it looks.
