When asked, wouldn't you be offended? If you say no does that make you a gold digger????

No I would not sign one. Marriage is based on trust and if my other half didn't trust me than that would be a deal breaker for me. I don't think that makes me a gold digger.

I have heard of some pre-nups that I would sign. I heard about one where if one person was caught cheating the other would get a huge amount of money. If someone has personal insecurities going in to a marriage I think a pre-nup could lessen the worries. I know people getting married should trust each other but some people are always going to have in the back of their head that they could get taken for their money or be cheated on.

It depends. If the person really has nothing but has expectations of accumulated wealth during the relationship, I would say asking for a pre nup is ridiculous. But in the world we live in, there are lots of people who do go after relationships just for the money. If you really love the other person and want to spend the rest of your life with them, it doesn't matter if you sign the pre nup or not. Give the other person the peace of mind that you are not just going into a relationship with them for their money.

My husband did not ask me to sign a pre-nup....I don't like those, they appear to be a pre-req for divorce....I understand why people do them but it was so nice to fall in love and just get married; instead of making it like a business arrangement.

I would ask for one. Everything looks nice and rosy during courtship. But if the breakup were to happen the acrimony would be very real. Both of you would be better off (and not your divorce lawyers) if you both signed equitable pre-nups.

i would definetly sign a pre nup. i've been in relationships where i've been ripped off and have had to start all over again. i've said to my bf (hopefully husband 1 day) that what he had before is totally his and what i had is totally mine and whatever we brought into the rel/ship as a couple is ours. but i just want to share the rest of my life with him and hopefully don't need to worry abt dividing anything.

I would, because I believe a lot of people get taken. If you are married to someone for a short time with no kids, you should leave with what you came with.

This time around, you better believe it. The first timei was married I let the wife handle all the finances. Big mistake. If I ever do it again there will her's, mine and ours.

Absolutely. If marriage is based on trust then you partner must trust that you will do the right thing.
