Call a group in your vicinity upholding protection of endangered animals so that they can coordinate with the authorities about the mountain lion.

I doubt that animal control would shoot a mountain lion. They will shoot it though if they see it come near people. Mountain lions are dangerous animals. You should report it in order to save human lives.

Depends on where you live, in many areas it would not be unusual. But I would report it, if this is not a normal area for them to be at.

you can call animal control and they will transport it to the rockies somewhere.
