I don't think so, I can't remember the list I was given when pregnant it's been a few years. But call your doctor to make sure they should have a list for you of what over the counter medication you can take.

Sudafed was on my approved list of medications to take, but I remember that there were restrictions as to how much or how often. I'm sorry, I wish I could remember for certain. Being pregnant and stuffy is the worst!
Is there a nurse on call that you can call and ask? If sudafed isn't allowed, they can tell you what you can take.

I hope you feel better.

ask your doctor. i was allowed to but it is a Cat. C drug.

Category C - drugs that are more likely to cause problems for the mother or fetus. Also includes drugs for which safety studies have not been finished. The majority of these drugs do not have safety studies in progress. These drugs often come with a warning that they should be used only if the benefits of taking them outweigh the risks. This is something a woman would need to carefully discuss with her doctor. These drugs include prochlorperzaine (Compazine), Sudafed, fluconazole (Diflucan), and ciprofloxacin (Cipro). Some antidepressants are also included in this group.

Yes, you can take one tablet of the REGULAR Sudafed, which is the red circular pill. (Don't take the one that is for multiple symptoms.) Ask the pharmacist which one is the original, regular formula if you're not sure. I took it a few times when pregnant at my doctor's advice.

Eta: Aspirin should NOT be taken while pregnant!!!

You should get docor approval first. Pseudoephedrine - the active ingredient in Sudafed- can raise your blood pressure. If you are at risk of pre-eclampsia or hypertension, it probably isn't a good idea. On the other hand if you are in all other ways healthy it is usually fine. I took it without any adverse affects with all three of my pregnancies.

Yes you can take sudifed while pregnant.

You can take a couple of different medications for symptoms and colds and what not. You should ask your Dr for the list.

although I am a guy and I am not to well versed in this are I can only take pot shot guesses I would say that taking that would relax you and in doing so also the baby but that might be a risk right there cause how do you know the sudate proceedure is safe for your baby to handle. what is to say he/she relaxes to a point where heart failure occures.

Tylenol is the only thing I remember the doctor saying it was ok to take without talking to him first.
Be careful and check with him before taking anything. As you probably know...anything you take is passed on to the baby.
Best of Luck.......take care of yourself and your baby.
God Bless
