What are you guilty of doing for the point of being in style?

Ok.. to be fair.. I did the tied bandana around my neck and yes, the upper leg. I also (among many things) would dab blue streaks in my hair, and use blue mascara.... *sigh* ... I could go on as I so lived the 80's...

Oh honey...the 80's...the "what was I thinking" generation. I was a Madonna wannabe. I had the mesh shirt, the torn fish nets, the tights, the flowing skirt the black bra, the bracelets, the crosses. Oh I was knarly. I went from that to being really into Billy Idol and had that nice biker chick look, had the dog collar, and the spiked platinum hair. The 80's...what can we say...parachute pants, teased hair, ripped clothes, mesh clothes. It was fun.....

Wearing WAY too many neon colors. You'd be hard pressed finding any pictures of me before 1991, after I tried to have them all destroyed. Some styles kinda overflowed into the nineties. I remember taking my mom's cut up credit cards and trying to make earrings or some kind of decoration out of them.

Bandanna headbands worn tied on top of head,
acid wash denim, peg-legged pants, suspenders,
folding and knotting an extra long belt end through itself,
collars worn up & sleeves rolled up on camp shirts,
one piece jump suits with huge belts,
glitter hair gel, wearing pink, blue, & yellow eye shadows with electric blue eye liner.
Extremely long, dangling, plastic "fish lure" earrings,
Permed, moussed, teased, gelled, & hairsprayed wonder-do's!

Oh i smiled when i read ur words as it brought back so many memories. Wow where does the time go????? I still think the 80's are awesome, i love the music.

I had the bangs hair sprayed way up to the side and I wore the slouch socks that were neon colors. How embarrassing!

well loud music cruising--floats 4 the homecoming parade at football time-we had a pep club bk then where we sat in front of the cheerleaders ands we yelled with them-soap in windows and t-p ing -Boone's farm lol that's all folkssssssssssss!!!!!!!!
