benyzol peroxide does not lighten your skin, it dries it up. That is the main active ingredient used in zit cream. Rubbing alcohol will not lighten your skin, it will only cause it to dry up, therefore, your skin will react by creating more oil, possibly giving you zits. The only way to lighten your skin is to visit Michael Jackson's dermatologist.

Benzoyl peroxide, for some, lightens the skin and for others, such as myself, darkens it. Either way Benzoyl Peroxide is crap! I speak from experience. I didn't know any better and used Proactiv for a year. Benzoyl Peroxide dries out your skin (it took me SEVERAL months to get my skin to stop flaking and cracking) and, if you do research, you'll find that Benzoyl Peroxide ages the skin as well.
Rubbing alcohol is no better either.

There are products at your local pharmacys like CVS or Walgreens ect. that carry skin lightners. They take a while to work. They are not an overnight solution. They should be in the lotion isle. Some of the names are Palmers Fade cream, Actifade, Porcelana. You can Also go to CVS.com and order online. type in Fade cream in your search at the site.

There are ton of over the counter skin lighteners in malls or dep. sto. Most cleaning supplies have alco n' perox. Don't put them on your face on regular basis.. you'll look old.
pro active is the best. not the toner.. or clinique..
