Water can be heated directly by absorbing energy or indirectly by conduction from a heat source. Water absorbs radiation at wavelengths 2.8 microns, 6.1 microns (fundamentals) 8.3 microns and throughout the microwave region (librations). Focusing radiation of any of the above wavelengths on water will heat it effectively.

if you mean 100 fahrenhiet, then leaving the water inside a car on a hot day would do the trick, but if you meant celcius you need to try some of the other methods listed above.

i heard on a talkshow the other day, that in a car thats left out in the sun with it being about 90 degrees, it was hot enough to bake cookies. a lady baked them on her dashboard..so then i guess it would make since you could get water that hot in an enclosed car in the direct sunlight.

Use a series of strong magnifiers to focus the suns light into the center of the water; use a small amount of water... it should get hot enough to boil it ....eventually.....

By just leaving it in by itself a pot I do not see how. You would need something to focus sunlight onto the pot like a concave reflective surface. Then just put the pot where the surface reflects all the light.
