Yes there has been many times when I felt afraid to answer my phone because I have an aunt who is constantly looking for favors. Most of the time she's looking for a baby sitter for her 12 yr old son and 15 yr old daughter. Both kids are annoying and if you try to make up an excuse why you cannot keep them she will still try to manipulate you into it .Like if I say I'm going to the movies w/ my boyfriend then she will give the kids money and send them w/ me
anyways. It's very hard to tell this woman no.And
she always wants something. She uses the hell
out of people.Or sometimes I'm afraid to answer because my if it's my mom she will ask
me a million questions about how I'm doing or how is my son.She will ask the dumbest questions like why is the baby crying so I say because he's a baby and that's what babies do.
Put it this way alot of annoying people call me so I don't have a phone anymore.

Not afraid, but I just can't stand talking on the phone or hearing it ring. I have mine on Do Not Disturb, so it doesn't ring but only lights up the caller ID. If it's a numer I know, I answer it.

Only when it's late at night (i.e. three in the morning) and I fear it's bad news. One time, when my hubby and I first got married, some kids prank called our house at 3 in the morning on a Friday night and informed my husband that we had three videos that were never returned to Hollywood video. Well, he was so out of it, that he starts engaging in conversation with them. He asked them "What time is it?" Well the kids were cracking up and say "3 am." So hubby says "well, what videos are they?" I kept telling him to give me the phone, but he was so out of it and tired I don't think he realized what was going on. So, the kids kept calling our house for the next few months with prank calls. My husband was a lot of fun for them. Eventually, I called the phone company and blocked their number.

I have a severe case of "phonephobia". I mean really, I get terrified everytime a phone rings. I don't have a cell phone now. When I did, I used to shiver everytime it rang. I hate phones.

Um, properly, at first of the minute i found out the guy i grow to be courting had a gf i could end issues with him - right this moment. 2nd of all, you're continually going to be made to experience like this, via fact - wager what - he's have been given a girl pal. you're only a booty call and he's treating you as such. you're silly to stay in this occasion once you already comprehend it is not going to alter and this guy will never preserve you or choose you in the type you like him. you may desire to end issues with this guy. placed him out of your existence and flow on. artwork on your self to establish why you concept it grow to be very properly to be with a guy which you already know is thoroughly unavailable to you and is going to easily use you. You deserve greater advantageous and you fairly could think of roughly what you're doing to his gf. despite if she would not understand approximately you, she in all probability suspects and karma's a b*tch - she continually comes around finally and gives you returned what you gave out. stable success, hon.

Yes...when I was younger..I didn't get along with my dad at times and he'd call raggin' on me or my mom...and after years of this..I'd get nervous stomach every time the phone rang..I'd dread it...then I'd answer it...pretty soon...off to the bathroom I went all stressed out. (I have Crohn's..so it's not good to stress!)

Now I get along with him..but....I'm not a phone person anyway I'll snail mail or e-mail someone before I call them...I'm bad i know!

Oh well...I am what I am...

Yes - I had it really bad about 6 years ago - but though there are still traces of fear I can deal with it now. Sometimes you just have to do whatever it is fear is holding you back from.
