I went to my videos and they didn't want to show the picture! It only showed the pictures and the sounds of the video and not the video!!!! Why? For more info..... i think i deleted something on accident....when i tried to play the video it said...

The program you are trying to run requires a current Indeo codec.
To obtain a current driver that is compatible with this version of Windows, please contact the manufacturer at http://indeo.ligos.com.

What does that mean? oh i went to the site and it said if i want to buy one for $14.99!!! I'm not buying that! lol.

please help!

I don’t think that you have to pay for the Ligos Indeo Codec 5.11. You can get it for free from the link http://www.free-codecs.com/Indeo_Codec_download.htm. if it is a problem with the codec, just install it from the above link and it’ll be OK. Else you need to update the current player.

If they played before, yes, the CODEC cannot be used because the player cannot be found or is now corrupt. Search for free CODECS for the player your using or reinstall the player or the missing CODEC could be from some video editing package you so re-installing it would fix the issue.

Remember CODEC (code-decode) and indeo (the CODEC in question) are the terms that will get you going.

Next time try to e even more specfic because the player and any video editing software you have could be helpful.

You might try another free player tat has Indeo.

I had the same problem. Go to DivX.com and download the DivX player. It will automatically download all video codecs.
