No, no bad, terrible, devastating side effect.

I'm in the process of getting one. The screw has been placed into my gums already (didn't hurt a bit! ... but I was drugged) and I'm getting the crown in November.

The assistant at my dentist's, who also got some implants, said that it may take some getting used to but they do feel like regular teeth (He said) and best part, they'll never go bad!

But do make sure you got to an experienced prothodontist.

Don't think so. Interesting. I would love to get implants and get my teeth fixed properly - go for it. Get a good dentist on recommendation from friends - expensive though !!

No side effects that I know of. The part that is inserted in your bone is titanium, which is also used in other surgeries. It takes about a year before it feels completely natural, but it's only actively uncomfortable for a week or so.

I dont think there are any side eddects that you should worry about-espically since there is no such thing as a 'side eddect'.
