the fingernails show peeling like there are two layers on them. I take peeling off and make them look more dry. they don't look healthy and smooth anymore. Frustated! I tried strength nail polish, prevent peeling/chipped nailpolish but nothing worked.

my nails do the same thing and I have been told that it is a lack of protein in my system and the lines you get on your nails is a sign of a lack of gelatin in your body. the manicures will help but you need to eat more protein and you can buy gelatin and eat that which will replace that you need and take away the lines in your nails.

I've always was told fingernail woes were caused by a vitamin deficiency, however I'm not a doctor. Perhaps your family physician can give you some reason and cure for this. My fingernails are brittle and break off. (sigh)

Start taking folic acid and a good multivitamin. Eating gelatin also makes your nails strong.

Your nails are weak - I suggest getting regular manicures or doing it yourself. You will want to use the Sally's nail strengthener as well in addition to the manicure (manicures push back your cuticles) . Moisturize your cuticles by using hand lotion every night - good luck!
