I was a at Shea and the place was rockin'!!
It was a great day for Met fans. Glavin, Green and a walk off homer to win --- a lot to smile about today!
The upper deck was crazy!! We usually sit on the field level. There was this guy that was collecting singles throughout the game from his buddies around him. When Beltran hit that homer, he threw them all off the upper deck showing the field level with money. Cool.

i watched it.....and WHAT A GAME!!
in fact, what day for the mets and their fans.
first off, earlier today it was announced that tom glavine would not need surgery in his shoulder and will not be lost for the season.....he should be back on the mound in a weeks time.
then it was announced that the mets had completed the trade with the diamond backs for outfielder shawn green, which will solidify the outfield situation given the uncertainty about the return of cliff floyd.
and to top it all off, the mets overcame 2 homers and 7 rbi by albert pujols, powered by carlos delgado who had 2 homers of his own, including a grand slam for his 400th career homer and a dramatic 2 run walk off homer by mvp candidate carlos beltran giving the mets a 8-7 victory.
WHAT A DAY INDEED!

huzah! beltran might be your mvp. but if people actually took what the freaking letters stood for, it says most valuable player. not the dude who pounded the ball the most. i interpret it as someone who helped his team win, and that team woulda sucked without him. so i think alfonso soriano. for al, better not be a yankee. go mets!

I didn't watch it, but I saw it on the ESPN Bottomline. I am pissed that Delgado got 2 HRs. He is on my fantasy team and tonite he was on my bench. CRAP!!!
