Hello annierose,

The Mac OS X doesn't seem to have a three fingered solute, except for maybe the force quit keyboard command:

Command(apple key)+Option+Esc

This doesn't give you other options except to force quit out of an individual program that might have locked up with the spinning beach ball of death. This works really great.

As for OS 9. Wow, that's taking me back. The only key that you need is that little button way in the back of your older Mac. That reboots the whole Mac, and you can start over again.

I hope that this helps.
