My daughter at 14 years old had a relationship with a 39 year old man and became pregnant by him. He was charged with a sex crime and is now a registered sex offender. He moved away from the are when the child was 4 months old and had no contact with him. My daughter who is now 22 years old went for support and he now wants visits and her son refuses to go with him or get out of the car to visit. He doesn't know this man as a father and gets sick to his stomach, cries and litterly throws up when he has to go there. She has tried every way she can to get him to stay but nothing works. Can he be forced out and made to stay? He has threatened to run away if made to stay. Can anyone give us some advice?

Call social services and the police,no child should be made to do that.

well, thats a hard one. i would think an attorney could answer that for you. i think any right minded judge would not force that kid to see his biological father if there is a reason like being a sex offender, remember, this is not a 17 year old getting pregnant by a 21 year old. it was WAYYYYY different. and this isnt the 1800's where little girls married. ok!!!?!??

he was way older than the 14 year old. clearly knowing what was right and wrong im sure. unless he"s mentally retarded.

give the boy a break. from personal experience as a child: if your not wanting to be around someone that badly. there is usually a reason for it. thats the glaring red flag that alot of parents tend to ignore unfortunately and just think the kid is being a brat. not so. pay attention to it. its the same as when a dog doesnt like a certain person. theres a reason.

Surely a registered sex offender forfeits his rights to visitation of the child he conceived as the result of his crime. You need to ring Child Protective Services and find out what the actual situation is. On no account should the child be forced to visit this man.

I think if the man has to pay child support, and the courts have said that the child is to go for visitation than yes he has to stay. When the child is 12 he has the right to refuse, but until then, he has to go. It is not right for the father to make him stay if he don't want to, but if he was bad enough to do what he did, then he is bad enough to make the child stay if it don't want to... make sure that he is allowed to have the child with him though,... it may be part of his release from jail not to be around any kids

I agree with bigtalaito. If he has a good enough lawyer he can get anything accomplished, maybe even have custody given to him. I would seriously suggest getting a VERY good lawyer to have him completely removed from the childs life, even if that means losing any cash support she may be getting. Sometimes it easier and better for the child and mother that way.

why would you force a child to do something that he doesn't want to do seems like something is wrong with you'll to force a child upon some one he never knew you'll are crazy and you need to be reported to the children and family services vfor crulelty to a child Ps i would run away to cause you don't love him cause if you did he wouldn't be going thru this mess

Why, in the world, is your daugher 'the victim' going to visit her assialant? How confusing a message to the child is that?

1st of all why would she force her child to see him.. he was born basically from rape.. lets just call it what it is sense she legally wasn't old enough to consent to sex.. i wouldn't let him no where near him.. he's a pervert.. she doesn't see anything wrong w/it cause she slept w/him consentually.. but u should sit ur daughter down and let her know that this could cause my harm then good...

The system is all f***ed up. I'm sorry, but it wont surprise me if he can do this. Get a good lawyer. What did you guys tell him to make hate him so mad? There is another side to this story, right.
