Don't be afraid of the doctors....they're there to help you. If you're reaching your due date and start having contractions or think you might be having a contraction, call your doctor or go to the hospital. It might be false labor, but i'm sure that they get that all the time and are not going to think you're stupid or anything.

It really doesn't matter if you like the doctors or not, it is not about you anymore, it's ALL about the baby. If you are having pains, you should at least call the hospital and ask them what to do. You need to make sure you get there in time to deliver that baby, who knows what type of complications could arise, and a doctor would be the only one who would know what to do.

Since you are carrying a life, you'd better get over your dislike of doctors. Having your baby at home w/no medical attention is dangerous for both you and your baby.
Perhaps you should have thought more carefully about becoming pregnant since pregnancy does involve pre-natal visits. I hope you've been going to yours.
Think about the baby and not just yourself.

When your contractions are getting closer together and stronger.
Some doctors are not very nice but think about the welfare of your baby and dont let them intimidate you. Don't hesitate to call and ask questions.

You will lose your mucous plug... like snotty stuff with blood in it. That's a good sign.... How about the EMERGENCY ROOM?? You aren't making very good decisions regarding your baby's health, mom.
