I'm working on baby number three, right now 4 1/2 mos along. My first labor was 10 hours long, no pain medication. Didn't seem that long though, second child was 6 hours long, but I had back labor with that one and that was the most horrific back pain i have ever felt, but i got an epidural, thank goodness.

The labor was about the same for each of my three-- but the delivery was much faster each time.
Some of it seemed like my body knew more what it was doing and alot of it seemed like I just knew what to expect.
As others have said, each pregnancy and delivery is different, but you can generally expect to have an easier time overall-- barring any complications, of course.
Best of luck and congrats!!

The labor was similar, but it was much quicker the second time. I delivered naturally both times so I felt everything. I think the second time may have been easier, but it was still comparable. (Could've been the less than pleasant "company" the second time that made me feel like that, too!)

Whichever way she conceived - I say extra power to her. even with butters your parsnips. even with the undeniable fact that - - - - even with the undeniable fact that - I do sense sorry for the youngsters of late birthing moms. imagine about it - - - At seventy seven she will be in a position to be ninety 8 even as this newborn is 21! And for the female who provides delivery at 40+ - then what's going to her nerves be like even as she is 60+ with a 20 something operating round! Makes you ask your self! CJ
