Not entirely correct. It depends where the dns servers are pointing to to resolve the web address that you type into your browser. You will find that with some web addresses if you do not type the "www" you will get a server not found error page but if you retype it WITH the "www" you will be directed to the site. Most servers these days are pointed at both addresses.

When the "w" key on my keyboard started giving me troubles. I'm kidding...really it was about 3 days after messing w/my search engine-I started noticing the window occasionally changed (added/replaced/took away letters) when going to sites.

you could just type in the website thingy for example yahoo then press ctrl shift and enter at same time saves mroe time
