I am not angry at Mexicans. A mexican was my bestman at my wedding. He is my best freind and he is married to a white woman and is a great guy. I have dated a few mexican women and have not found a better lover. Even if I am now living with an asian lady.

So I do not hate mexicans but I do feel they can learn to speak english just like my ex girl freinds did and my current girl freind did and get their papers. Just be legal is all white people are saying.

Mexicans and other people don't seem to understand that we can not hire you for a job with out being fined or going to jail ourselfs. So yes it is a piss off.. Get legal and you will see how freindly we really are. Till then go home.

Most of my family here in south texas is inter-racially married. As far as prejudice goes, I've experienced it from both sides, so I know that it's not an exclusively white (or anglo american) condition.

Inversely, almost all the Latinos/Latinas in my family are educated and gainfully employed, whereas only about half of the caucasians are, so there is some "role reversal" (with regard to the "weaker" stereotype) to boot.

Most of the hype today though, I genuinely think is media driven, but that's only my POV. The economy in ST has been very dependent on both legal and illegal workers for a long time (this also includes Asians who work the shrimp boats, a LARGE amount of Indians, some Iranians, and we still get the ocasional Baltic who outstays thier visa trying to get legal status here).

Why do white people dislike Mexicans? Millions of Mexicans come to this country illegally, they don't bother learning English, they create violent criminal gangs, they "steal" health care from state hospitals, they blast ghetto-rap music from their cars at all hours of the day and night, they have the highest school drop-out rate of any race, they have more pregnant teens than any other race, they breed like rabbits, and then they wave the Mexican flag in America even though Mexico is the last place they would want to live.

Watch out when you say white PEOPLE. Whom are you referring to? Mexicans are technically white people. What Mexicans do you mean? There are a few dumb Mexicans out there making people angry with their stupid actions. I myself do not make people angry I have a job, do it well, and do not break the law. As far as the whites, do you mean Americans? or simply whites? I think mostly its not so much a racist or power issue... its more like an economical issue. The Mexicans, although hardworking, cheap good labor, reliable, and loyal, if they are here working illegally they take away opportunities for all americans that are rightfully here not just the whites.

We have a system to enter "our house". It has been used for many years. The statue of liberty is dedicated to this system. All of us are immigrants, save the american indians. All we ask is that immigrants enter this country through the front door, legally. Sneaking in through the back window is criminal.

I'm not racist. The only problem "we"-meaning everyone not just white people-- have is illegal immigrants coming over here and living off of "our"--meaning everyone not just white people-- system.
