I have a PC. I use Yahoo music for my mp3's, along with replay-music. I record streaming audio to get my music on my mp3 player. I drag and drop. Well, I bought my son an Ipod shuffle and my daughter an Ipod nano. Itunes is not very PC friendly. Is this because I don't have a Mac? I haven't used Itunes at all. Can you listen to an entire song while running software to record streaming audio or do you only have the option to buy? I don't know. Ipods are in but it seems like it takes me twice as long to put the songs on them. But I guess if you use Itunes, it must be a piece of cake. This is so frustrating.

iTunes is a great program, it gives you many option and the fact that it is compatible with the iPod obviously makes it the program of choice. Dont listen to AfterFlakes, shes definitely a disgruntled iPod user, who probably didn't even know how to use the thing, most Mp3 players are horrible compared to the iPod. You can't record the iTunes preview because its meant to be just that, a Preview. If you want to download music, then download any of the numerous PC applications which allow you to get music for free. Then you won't have to record streaming audio, you'll just downloading. It'll save you half the time!

I don't really have a problem using Itunes on my PC, but I don't use Itunes for purchasing music; just podcasts, and I don't own and Ipod. I think that when you use Itunes it automatically updates your ipod when you connect it, but I don't know. i simply take the mp3's I've downloaded with Itunes and load them onto my Zen Micro with my creative software. I wish I could find an mp3 purchasing program that was easier to use than Itunes.

i hate my ipod. it is not user friendly. it is not very practical either. i gave mine away and got a regular mp3 player.

downloading music was the easy part. you can only hear a bit of it before you buy it. you are far more advanced than i running software to record streaming audio. it should be easy for you to figure out.

i hate my ipod.

Yes you can. But removing songs from any ipod device is the issue. You have to either delete the song from your library to remove it or use the"Liberator" program. that way you can link to other libraries and not lose any songs and others can get songs from you.

itunes is terrible. I completely reccommend getting Winamp player. You can download support for ipods, but it is SOOO Much better than itunes...and it has a stop button! You'll be able to do everything you need and mentioned with Winamp.

So, you can get winamp at http://www.winamp.com

No, it is different, but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty easy. Itunes uses alot of shortcuts instead of pulldown menus.

The help index is helpful too.

it is not that it is a pain, just that you are not used to using the program, and any program when you don't know how to use it can be frustrating, but besides using it for my ipod, i don't use it at all.
