"We" don't know exactly how many nuclear warheads Israel may or may not be capable of deploying.
They are used as a background threat, meaning other nations and groups should think twice before striking first.
Israel has stated it will not be the first to deploy nuclear weapons and I think on this particular issue, they mean it. There will be no winners in a nuclear war, after all.
Israel originally aquired plutonium with the direct help of South Africa and possibly France. Everyone else saw it for the dangerous escalation that it was, and were alarmed when it became clear how much progress Israel had made in the field. This information came out through Israeli scientists who were also deeply worried about the program.

Because there are always lots of nukes on all USA bases. We have to have them there to show how strong the USA is and that we can hit someone from many points of the globe.
We put them there is why they have so many an really they don't need them just need enough firepower to fight off the likes of Iran. The nukes were put there to hit Russia a long time ago.

If you were living where they are you would have nuclear weapons or anything else you could get to assure your survival. Having said this Isreal is going to have to find a way to accomodate some of the Palistinian aspirations if there is ever going to be peace. If this has not occurred to them it is time the United States made this clear to them.

spare me the annoying hippie bullshit of even hinting at Israel as a terrorist state. They need them to protect their citizens. They are 5 million and their neighbors (enmies) are 500 million.
