As a parent we are supposed to unconditinally love our children. We can also forgive our children many sins. We may not like what they have done but we will always love them.
If one of my children committed a terrible premediated crime, it would break my heart as a mother. I cannot honestly say if the love would remain. I think only the pain would be there, for both.
Sometimes it is easier to get a dog instead.....lol

Its as true as your word is, because only you can make it not true.Unconditional love is an action based on word and feelings of the person saying it.Once said and if its ever taken back then
your words are no better than the reasons you take it back.
And in my opinion your word is the fabric of a person when its gone you have nothing.

When a person lies about telling the truth. When a person says that they are unconditionally in love, when actually they only want one thing.
But unconditional love is a real thing...you can feel it. Its just sometimes you think you feel it, when in reality you feel puppy love, or a love for someone, but its not the real deal yet.

You can only teach unconditional love to your children by example.
Here is a scenario: would you still love your children if you knew they committed an atrocity?

God forbid if that ever happened, it is our children that teaches us adults what unconditional love is all about, It is something I Cherish in my children and my grandchildren and I thank God for them daily. to have the love of a child is like being touched by God.

Just because you have a child doesn't mean you will love them. Look at the children abused. Or children that have killed their parents. Blood relative doesn't guarantee love of any kind.
But I also believe that if you are capable of love, that you love your child from day 1, you always will. Not always happy with some of the things they do, but you'll always "love" them.

When it comes to my son and daughter I know that through their life they may make some disappointing choices, but my love for both of them will NEVER change, and there is nothing that could ever change my mind.

A parent can probably love unconditionally, but he or she is also entitled to say to their children (not as a condition, but as a good principle to live by): 'be worthy of being loved'.
