I just started working with it, does anyone have any tips? How do you add voicovers to animations? I did some motion tweens, but is there any way to just draw the path you want an object to move? I think that is about it, I will select a best answer if I get a good response. If you put a stupid answer, like "thanks for 2 points", I will report you, so don't bother trying. Thanks a lot!

Yes, there is a way to just draw the path you want an object to move. Follow the steps below:

1) On layer 1 Frame no. 1 :- Just draw your path. you can use any tool to draw your path like pencil tool, brush tool or any other tool by which you can easily draw a path.

2) on layer 1 Frame No 50 :- Press F5 or insert a frame.

3) Make layer 2, Place layer 2 under layer 1.

4) on layer 2, Frame No 1:- Draw your object. like circle or any object u want.

5) on layer 2 :- select frame no 1 on timeline and right click on it. Choose create motion tween.

6) on layer 2 Frame No 50 :- Press F6 or insert keyframe.

7) on layer 2 Frame No 1 :- Place your object near to the starting point of your path.

8) on layer 2 Frame No 50 :- Place your object near to the ending point of your path.

9) Select layer 1 :- change the property of the layer type as GUIDE LAYER.

10) Select layer 2 :- Change the property of the layer as GUIDED LAYER.

11) Test your movie. Your object will run on the defined path.

Note :- Layer containing the path must be on the top of the object layer.

And path layer must be defined as GUIDE LAYER and object layer must be defined as GUIDED LAYER.

MX studio was the bomb. The best thing to do is search for some tutorials on Google or Adobe's (bought Macromedia out) website. All of your questions are easily answered in the Adobe docs or forums.

Good luck! Have Fun!

My advise would be to keep an eye out for Macromedia Flash MX on ebay, you usually get some really good second hand copies on there for really good prices!!
