is it possible to have a tattoo that looks like it was painted on?

I hve a few tats, and I can tell you as far as mine go, it depends on the ink, your skin tone and the exposure to the sun. The one on my shoulder I got when I was 21, it is very colorful and still bright, it looks like it was put on yesterday. One on my leg is a "tribal" piece, just black and it looks a bit more "faded"....I could have it re-colored to freshen it up if I wanted to, but I like it the way it is. I have heard...check with the person applying the ink....but I have heard that if you expose your new tattoo to the sun alot in the first few days it will fade a bit and not be as bright....it might be bs, but the one on my shoulder is covered a lot and it looks as if it was drawn on with crayolas, on my leg..i wear shorts a lot, and it is dull....

Yes you can. Look at the artists portfolio. The tattoo shouldn't be colored all the way, more just a shading effect.

yes you can they have ways, you can have the artist not do an outline on your piece among other things. Make sure you find an artist that is VERY familiar with that kind of work. I'd hate for it to suck and you be stuck with it for a LONG time.

yes its possible, my cousin has a tatoo of a butterfly that kind of looks painted on, and it looks as though there is really a butterfly on her back. It all depends on where you get it done, and how much you are willing to pay for the tatoo.

something on the brink of photos is feasible for a tattoo. examine on the artist skills, go searching the internet, and you will locate some rather outstanding artwork. of direction, you will pay greater for a greater clever artist.
